This day and night photography course is designed to not only get you off the Auto setting but give you the hands on knowledge necessary to use your camera and creativity to the fullest. So if you are seeking to get the most out of your camera and create professional looking photographs then this is the class for you. Throughout the day and particularly the night you'll have the opportunity to take home a stunning collection of photographs from Brisbane's spectacular Southbank and riverside.

On this 5 hour photography class you will learn what all those strange photography term like depth of field , focal length , ISO , shutter speed and aperture mean , the key functions on your camera , how to use your camera manually and semi-manually, creating blur effects during the day and night using long exposures , maximizing and minimizing your depth of field, how to create a stunning night portrait using rear curtain flash and a long exposure, painting with light and how to create superb compositions.

What kind of camera do you need for this course :

Actually to get the most from this course Digital SLR or mirrorless camera is recommended, as you will need to use the manual functions of the camera. If you have a bridge camera, it can also be used but please contact with us before booking.

Students will need to bring the following :

• Torch (flashlight)
• Tripod
• Digital Camera (DSLR - able to control manually shutter speed and aperture)
• Fully charged batteries
• Image cards formatted (space to photograph) and spares if possible
• Rain jacket or umbrella (just in case)
